AV Integration and Maintenance Services Contract with the ABA
As a new school year has gotten underway in many states throughout the country, and with several more starting in the coming weeks, students have begun the transition from swimming pools and campouts to backpacks and homework. For those of a certain age, the return to school in the fall meant purchasing lunches that neither looked nor tasted like anything that resembles a nutritious home-cooked meal. However, in recent years, efforts have been made to improve the nutritional value of school lunches and overall health of school-aged children, including the Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids Act of 2010 and First Lady Michelle Obama’s Let’s Move! Initiative.
One facet of improving nutrition in schools has been to dramatically reduce the number of caloric and caffeinated beverages available. The days of a 6th grader getting hopped up on his fourth can of Dr. Pepper from the cafeteria soda machine are largely over. Instead, with the help of guidelines developed by the American Beverage Association (ABA) at the start of this decade, full-calorie soft drinks have been removed from schools and high-calorie beverages have been replaced with bottled water, portion-controlled sports drinks, diet drinks, and 100 percent juices.
NCC is pleased to do our part to support ABA’s mission, as we announce a new contract to perform integration and maintenance services for the organization in its recently renovated facilities. The contract includes designing, engineering, installing, and programming the audiovisual system. Our integration work includes presentation and web conferencing systems in a variety of rooms, plus a breakout room and a video display in the cafeteria. The meeting spaces, offices, and conference rooms will showcase state of the art integration, and the open floor plan encourages interaction between customers and members.
The ABA, founded in 1919, is the trade association that represents hundreds of non-alcoholic beverage producers, distributors, franchise companies and support industries. The Association also serves as liaison between the industry, government, and the public.
We are privileged to add the ABA to our growing base of clients, and we’re grateful for the opportunity to provide AV integration and maintenance services in making communication and collaboration happen® for the organization.
