Multimedia Production Support for Let’s Move! video

Michelle Obama Let's Move

Since 2010, the U.S. Tennis Association has built or restored 6,200 kid-sized tennis courts; Walmart lowered costs of fruits, vegetables and whole grain products by $1 billion (in 2011); more than 150 hospitals in the U.S. have delivered healthier options to patients and on-site cafeterias; and 597 museums and gardens in all 50 states and DC began offering active exhibits and healthy food options.  These are a few of the many accomplishments of the Let’s Move! initiative, launched in February 2010 by First Lady Michelle Obama.

NCC’s Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Broadcast Studio team recently had the privilege  of producing an animated video for Let’s Move!, entitled “Through the Eyes of a Child: The Impact of Let’s Move!”, narrated by Mrs. Obama.  This work was done as part of our Multimedia & AV Support contract with HHS that began earlier this year.

Since our inception in 2002, NCC has proudly supported numerous health-related organizations including the National Institutes of Health (NIH), the Agency of Healthcare Research & Quality (AHRQ), the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), and the Health Resources & Services Administration (HRSA).  Additionally, NCC employees have exemplified our commitment to active and healthy lifestyles outside the office at events like Walk4Hearing, several Arlington Food Assistance Center (AFAC) volunteer events, the Get Fit Challenge, and games of kickball, volleyball, and Frisbee at our annual summer picnic.

We are honored to play a critical role in promoting Let’s Move’s important message of creating a healthier and more active lifestyle among American youth, and we are grateful to continue enabling communication and collaboration in a variety of ways for HHS.
