NCC Awarded New AHRQ Contract
NCC is pleased to announce the award of our first contract with the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ). Together with our subcontractor Rose Li and Associates, a professional services company specializing in scientific review management and science writing, we look forward to providing AHRQ’s Office of Extramural Research, Education, and Priority Populations (OEREP) with technical, analytical, and logistical support. The total award ceiling for this Cost Plus Fixed Fee contract, should all four option periods be exercised, is $9.4 M over five years.
NCC recognizes the vital role AHRQ plays in enhancing the quality and effectiveness of health care for all Americans. Our Conference Planning and Peer Review team members will work closely OEREP program personnel who oversee extramural grant research and research training programs within the agency. Specifically, our associates will provide support for the Initial Review Groups and Special Emphasis Panels conducting the scientific peer reviews necessary to make recommendations to the AHRQ director regarding the merits of grant applications submitted to AHRQ.
It has been NCC’s privilege to work with the Department of Health and Human Services and its daughter agencies since our inception in 2002, including the National Institutes of Health, the Food and Drug Administration, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and we are excited to have the opportunity to demonstrate our superior customer-focused approach, upon which we have built our success, to another agency under the HHS umbrella.
