NCC Completes AV Design and Integration in the Pentagon

VTC

NCC is pleased to announce the completion of audiovisual design and integration for the Washington Headquarters Services’ (WHS) Enterprise Information Technology Services Directorate’s (EITSD) Leadership Conference Room and adjacent control room in the Pentagon.

In the Conference Room, our Audiovisual and Technology Solutions (AVTS) team was responsible for the removal of the EITSD’s previous AV and video teleconferencing (VTC) equipment and the installation of state-of-the-art, easy-to-use technology.  Furthermore, we upgraded and simplified the organization’s existing AV capabilities to allow for digital connectivity and high-definition VTC.  We also made upgrades to the projection and microphone systems and secure/unsecure network switching capabilities.  Our installations and upgrades facilitate straightforward system operation, and ensure clear, intelligible speech from remote VTC participants, while maintaining the highest levels of security.

Before the installations and upgrades commenced, our AVTS team performed a site survey to address issues within the performance work statement, ensuring that the engineering design was functional, and addressed scenarios for both secure and unclassified operations.

In the control room, NCC integrated audio and video from existing computer workstations for video/audio display and playback, and for control and monitoring of AV/VTC systems.  We installed a digital audio/video matrix switcher to accommodate all audio/video/computer sources to include Blu-ray, DVD recorder, CATV tuner, cameras, VTC codecs, computers, projectors, monitors, interface plates, and microphones.

Since 2006, NCC has proudly supported WHS, as we have been dedicated to providing first-class AV integration, installation, and maintenance for more than 15 rooms within the Pentagon Conference Center, the Mark Center in Alexandria, and numerous projects within the National Capital Region.  Additionally, our Conference and Peer Review Management Services (CPRM) team has provided event support for numerous WHS functions, including the Congressional Medal of Honor Ceremony in February and the Vietnam War 50th Anniversary Memorial Service in May 2012.

NCC is privileged to extend its enduring relationship with WHS, as we continue to create a better experience for this critically important organization.
