NCC Participates in Mosaic Farm Market Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony
On a picture-perfect Sunday morning in early May, NCC’s Vice President of Finance Tony Anzilotti had the honor of participating in the ribbon-cutting ceremony for the Mosaic Central Farm Market in Fairfax. NCC was invited to join the ribbon-cutting after we began supporting Food for Others, a Northern Virginia food bank serving the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. Our grant to the food bank will enable it to buy fresh meats, produce, dairy, and more from the Mosaic Market for distribution to the families it serves.
After the ribbon-cutting officially opened the Mosaic Farm Market, visitors perused offerings from several local vendors, including fruits, vegetables, meats, seafood, baked goods, and much more. The day featured live music and activities for kids, and the first 100 people at the Market received reusable Mosaic shopping bags. Mosaic Market is open from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. every Sunday through October, and is located in the Merrifield Mosaic District.
In addition to launching our financial support for Food for Others, for over two years NCC has parterned with the Arlington Food Assistance Center (AFAC), a non-profit organization that provides nutritious produce, meats, breads, and beverages to local families in need.
We were glad to participate in the wonderful grand opening for the Mosaic Farm Market and look forward to visiting again during the summer. Furthermore, we are proud that our grant to Food for Others will help deliver a GOOD future to the families it serves.
