NCC Provides Real-Time Captioning for Federal Reserve Bank of NY Event
In December, NCC was pleased to provide real-time captioning for the Federal Reserve Bank of New York’s discussion between the Bank’s CEO William Dudley and former Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke. Mr. Bernanke, now a Distinguished Fellow in Residence at The Brookings Institution, concluded his second and final term as Chairman of the Federal Reserve on January 31.
The webcast and associated captioning was broadcast internally to Federal Reserve Bank of New York employees. Prior to the event, NCC’s captioner performed multiple rounds of tests with the client, and we later gladly accommodated the Bank’s request for a copy of the caption script of the discussion.
This event wrapped up a busy year of captioning projects for NCC, which included the Congressional Medal of Honor Ceremony, Bill Gates’ lecture at the National Institutes of Health, and the National Institute of Standards and Technology’s (NIST) Fourth Annual National Initiative for Cybersecurity Education (NICE) Workshop.
We were happy to create a better experience by making the discussion between William Dudley and Ben Bernanke fully accessible for all employees of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York.
