NCC to Participate in 6th Walk4Hearing
On Saturday, October 25th, for the sixth year NCC employees, family, friends, and even a few pets will participate in Hearing Loss Association of America’s Walk4Hearing in Washington, DC. For the fifth straight year, we are proudly serving as a sponsor for the event, which convenes at the Sylvan Theater Stage, adjacent to the Washington Monument, at 10:00 a.m.
Walk4Hearing supports a broad range of programs that assist the hearing-impaired community, and works to eliminate the stigma related to hearing loss. NCC’s annual sponsorship and active participation in the Walk4Hearing reflects our enduring dedication to providing several critical services to the hearing-impaired community, including real-time captioning, open and closed caption videos, and Computer Assisted Realtime Translation (CART) through our LiveWriteTM application.
We have our own Team NCC page on the Walk4Hearing website where we accept donations to HLAA and track our progress. To date, we have raised nearly $1,000 and will continue to make a push to increase our total.
In previous years, the Walk4Hearing took us around the Tidal Basin, with a close-up look at the Thomas Jefferson Memorial. In this year’s new route, we’ll take in some of the best sites the Nation’s Capital has to offer including the Smithsonian Castle, the National Mall, the National Sculpture Garden, the Washington Monument, and the Reflecting Pool.
We are excited about what is shaping up to be a perfect fall morning for our sixth Walk4Hearing. We are honored to be a sponsor for the event for a fifth occasion, and we are proud that our donations and the numerous services we offer create a better experience for those affected by hearing loss.
We ask you to consider making a donation to Team NCC here and invite you to join us on Saturday morning at the Sylvan Theater Stage!
