NCC to Serve as Sponsor for NIH’s “An Evening for Hope 2015”
Twenty-five years ago The Children’s Inn at NIH opened its doors to pediatric patients and their families. On Saturday May 2nd, NIH will celebrate this milestone anniversary with An Evening for Hope 2015, and NCC is privileged to serve as a sponsor for this important night.
All proceeds from the second annual event, which takes place at the Ritz-Carlton in Tysons Corner, will go directly to the Children’s Inn, “a place like home” where seriously ill children and their families can stay in a comfortable environment over the course of the children’s treatment at NIH. Since the Children’s Inn was founded in 1990, nearly 13,000 families have made over 50,000 visits to the Inn. Following each day’s treatments, children have the opportunity to be in a welcoming environment where they are around family, the Inn’s caring staff, and volunteers.
Like last year’s inaugural event, NCC will proudly serve as a sponsor. This year we will be a Welcome Reception Sponsor, which covers the cost of 61 nights at the Children’s Inn. Additionally, NCC has direct involvement with the development of this year’s event, as one of our associates has the honor of participating in the planning committee for An Evening for Hope, with an emphasis on advancing the event’s social media efforts.
The evening will feature a performance by popular political satirists The Capitol Steps. Guests will be treated to delicious food and wine, plus silent and live auctions which include items crafted by children who have stayed at The Children’s Inn.
We are honored to serve as a sponsor for An Evening for Hope for the second straight year, doing our part to help create a better experience for the children and families who visit the Children’s Inn each day. We are glad to continue our support of NIH, as we have since our inception in 2002, providing Virtual Meeting & Live Event Support, Language & Text Solutions, Unified Communications, and Technology Services & Support. We are privileged to make communication and collaboration happen for numerous institutes, centers, and offices within NIH, doing our part in supporting the critical research that leads to vital treatments given to the children who visit NIH and the Children’s Inn each year.
