NCC to Provide Real-Time Captioning For Dalai Lama Lecture at NIH

Dalai Lama

On Friday, March 7th, NCC will have the privilege to provide real-time captioning for a webcast of His Holiness the Dalai Lama as he presents the annual NIH J. Edward Rall Cultural Lecture in the Ruth L. Kirschstein Auditorium.  His talk, titled “The Role of Science in Human Flourishing,” will begin at 3:00 p.m. and will be made available to NIH employees.

The Dalai Lama arrived in Washington, D.C., on February 18th.  Before coming to the National Capital Region for Friday’s lecture at NIH, the Dalai Lama gave talks in San Francisco, Berkeley, Santa Clara, Los Angeles, and Minneapolis.

This will be the second occasion in recent months in which NCC has provided captioning services for webcasts of notable guests at NIH.  In December, we supported the Bill Gates’ lecture, “Why the Future Needs Biomedical Innovation.”

We are honored to provide our reliable, high-quality captioning service to NIH for the Dalai Lama’s lecture on Friday, as we create a better experience for NIH employees remotely viewing this momentous lecture.
