NCC Volunteers at Hero Dogs Community Outreach Event

Hero Dogs 1

On Sunday, September 30, as part of our ongoing support of Hero Dogs, Inc., NCC joined one of the organization’s three public outreach events for the day, at a Bark! Pawsitive Pet Food in Rockville, Maryland.

NCC Vice President of Operations Lorene Eberhardt and her husband staffed the Hero Dogs information table, greeting customers and sharing Hero Dogs’ mission to raise, train, and place service dogs with injured and/or disabled military veterans.  The volunteers also distributed literature and collected over $250 in donations to go along with the contributions from Bark! sales and customers at the other store locations in Gaithersburg and Olney .

NCC-sponsored Hero Dog Grant and Hero Dog Dolley were on hand (or paw) to greet visitors and display the skills they’ve learned during the course of their training.  Our company began sponsoring Grant in April, soon after establishing our partnership with Hero Dogs.

Hero Dogs 2Hero Dogs regularly participates in events in the Mid-Atlantic Region including Combined Federal Campaign (CFC) charity fairs, the National Veterans Wheelchair Games in Richmond, and many community engagements.  In June, NCC was honored to include Hero Dogs as an exhibitor at our 10 Year Anniversary Event, as one of the respected local charitable organizations that we proudly support.

We are delighted to be affiliated with Hero Dogs, and look forward to participating in future events with this caring organization.
