New Real-time Captioning Contract with the U.S. Census Bureau

NCC is pleased to announce a new real-time captioning contract with the United States Census Bureau.  The contract, which began August 1, continues our longstanding relationship with this significant organization, as we have supported the Census Bureau since 2007.

Our captioners will generate real-time captioning for a wide range of conferences and seminars both remotely and on-site in the Census Bureau’s auditorium and conference rooms.  Furthermore, we will caption media advisory webinars via LiveWriteTM, our proprietary Computer Assisted Realtime Translation (CART) application; a link to LiveWriteTM is accessible throughout all webinars to ensure full participation by hard-of-hearing users.

In addition to captioning support, our Multimedia and Production Solutions (MPS) team has provided verbatim transcripts of record for a number of Census Bureau meetings held in its headquarters in Suitland, Maryland.

Since 1903, the U.S. Census Bureau has been responsible for producing statistics about the American people and economy.  The chief mission of the Census Bureau is to conduct the U.S. Census every 10 years, which apportions the seats of the U.S. House of Representatives to the states based on their population.

We are honored to continue our dedicated and reliable real-time captioning support for an important and venerable organization like the U.S. Census Bureau, and we look forward to creating a better experience for its staff and meeting participants for years to come.
