Audiovisual Design, Installation and Maintenance for NOAA Fisheries

Every October we look forward to the leaves changing colors, picking pumpkins, and trick-or-treating on Halloween.  Along with those fall staples, we also can indulge in fish, shrimp, lobster, mussels, clams, and more to celebrate National Seafood Month.  The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) plays a paramount role in ensuring that the seafood you order from your favorite local restaurant has been responsibly harvested, properly inspected, and is safe to eat before it’s on your plate.

In the midst of National Seafood Month, NCC is proud to announce we have been awarded a new contract with the NOAA NMFS for Unified Communications and AudioVisual Solutions including AV Design, Equipment Procurement, Installation and Maintenance support for its Executive Conference Room at NOAA Fisheries’ Silver Spring, MD headquarters.  The Executive Conference Room, which previously contained outdated audio/video equipment characterized by frequent failures and difficulty in replacing worn parts, necessitates an upgrade to a stable, reliable, user-friendly system that does not require a technician to operate.  The right solution would ensure high availability to support its high profile briefings and to enable NMFS to host quality meetings with remote offices.

Through this integration project, NCC will provide and install new flat screen displays to replace existing project displays; the room will be controlled by a Crestron control panel and Digital Media Presentation system; and new ceiling microphone arrays, a 4K blu-ray disc player, and an existing video teleconferencing unit will be integrated with the room’s existing speakers.  As a result, the Room, which was previously a combination of aging analog and digital equipment, will be fully digital with 4K upscaling for high quality video.

Following installation, NCC will provide hands-on training and documentation to NOAA users, and will provide two years of maintenance services and technical support for the installed system.

NOAA Fisheries Service conserves, protects, and manages living marine resources in a way that ensures their continuation as functioning components of marine ecosystems, affords economic opportunities, and enhances the quality of life for the American public.

Through utilizing the best personnel, tried and tested processes, and state-of-the-art technology, NCC looks forward to providing NOAA Fisheries Service with an outstanding customer experience. We are pleased to offer our services in pursuit of our mission of making communication and collaboration happen®.
