On-site Multimedia and Transcription Support for CFPB

With scandals such as the Wells Fargo account fraudulency still in the headlines, an organization like the Consumer Finance Protection Bureau (CFPB) plays a critical role in protecting consumers from unfair and deceitful practices by taking action against companies that break the law.

On Thursday, September 29th, 2016, NCC was pleased to provide full-scale, multi-point support for the Consumer Finance Protection Bureau’s (CFPB) Community Bank Advisory Council Meeting.  We were grateful to have the opportunity to incorporate several of our services and solutions for this all-day event.

Our Multimedia Production services included a five-person mobile production team that operated a three-camera high-definition shoot, video switcher, and integration of presentation slides; as well as setup and support for the push-to-talk microphone system for panel discussions.  Furthermore, we set up LED lighting and pipe and drape event staging for the meeting.

In addition to our production team, we deployed a three-person on-site transcription and reporting team that was responsible for audio recording and note-taking for the main CBAC meeting plus breakout sessions that took place in several room throughout the day.  We also crafted an Executive meeting summary of the entire proceedings.

Originally created in response to the housing and financial crisis of the late 2000s, the CFPB serves the nation by enforcing fair practices within the banking, lending, and personal finance industries.  By meeting regularly with an advisory board of leaders from community banks, the CFPB aims to enhance credibility, communication, and accountability in its mission.

The CFPB emphasizes transparency by broadcasting its meetings live and on demand, and releasing thorough transcripts and reports.  As a proud partner of the CFPB, NCC has supported the organization on numerous occasions for events including the September 2015 CBAC meeting, the October 2015 Consumer Advisory Board meeting, the ROADS (Reach Outcomes. Achieve Dreams. Succeed) event in the summer of 2015, and several other events from 2014 on.
