NCC Collects Books to Support Elizabeth’s Book Drive
NCC was proud to participate in Elizabeth’s Book Drive, as our employees donated 137 new and used children’s books to be distributed at hospitals and orphanages later this month.
Elizabeth’s Book Drive is a 501(c)(3) non-profit charity dedicated to the memory of Elizabeth Luke Matthes, who was stillborn on July 25, 2012. Her parents, Lance and Marianne, created the book drive in September of 2012 as a way to honor their daughter and also to brighten the days of children in local hospitals and orphanages.
As a company made up of employees who love reading, provide a variety of services to health-related organizations, and support charities in our communities, we were grateful for the opportunity to do our part in contributing to the worthy cause of Elizabeth’s Book Drive. We partnered with Alpha Delta Xi at Christopher Newport University – the alma mater of one of our transcription editors – to distribute the books.
We encourage you to donate books or make a monetary contribution by visiting the Book Drive’s website. Books will be donated the week of Elizabeth’s birthday (July 25th). Donations will be accepted after that date as well.
NCC was honored to support Elizabeth’s Book Drive and we look forward to taking part in it again in 2017.
