NCC President and CEO Chris Marquez Interviewed on Federal News Radio
While most of the country was finishing off its last piece of pumpkin pie, NCC’s President and CEO Chris Marquez wrapped up Thanksgiving weekend on the radio! On the morning of November 25th, Chris was interviewed on WFED 1500 (Federal News Radio) in Washington, DC, as part of the Executive Leaders Radio program. The show was aired nationally on December 1st on Biz Talk Radio. It can also be heard here (Chris is the first interview on the program).
The weekly show features “prominent CEOs, CFOs, and Presidents focusing on ‘what makes people tick.’” During his appearance on the program, Chris discussed NCC’s mission and services; and also talked about his family and how they inspired his journey, from founding NCC back in 2002 up to the present day.
Providing some insight into what drove him to launch a company like NCC, Chris cited one particular piece of advice he received from his mother: “I think there’s a certain amount of delusion you need sometimes to start and run a business and be successful, and continue growing it,” Chris said. “The obstacles are huge and they’re hard. And you really have to have the belief that no matter what.”
In addition to discussing NCC and the industry in general, Chris touched on his beginnings as an aspiring actor and pianist, plus working in his family’s food business at a young age. He also noted the importance of being part of and improving the community and the world around him.
We thank Federal News Radio and the Executive Leaders Radio program for inviting Chris onto the show and encourage you to tune in to the archived broadcast.
